Pigeon Algorithm Update Hits

Last Thursday google went live with yet another algorithm update if their were not enough already! This update has been dub'd the pigeon update by search engine land's Matt Mcgee. This update is going to be aimed at many seo's favorite area of business local seo.

The biggest hits will be given to those that already compete with yelp,urban spoon, trip advisor and other large directory sites. This will surely change many peoples experiences starting out in local seo and make the battle against giant's like yelp even more of a difficult task. This will mean even more number 1 ranking for the big boy's.
 
As it stand's this version will be hitting US english results. Google says that this update with improve their distance and locations ranking which will improve user experience for local search which will make ranking smaller business more difficult most likely effecting a very wide range of rankings anything from chiropractors to your favorite restaurant.
